Poster Session

SHARE YOUR STORY

Posters will be presented and highlighted all throughout PERFORM Conference 2018, taking place in the main hall of UNESCO; it will ensure high visibility to your work along with a great opportunity to engage in networking with other European projects and all the attendees to the Conference :  science policy makers, teachers, performers, early career researchers, students, etc.

We encourage proposals from all actors, focusing on teachers, students, early career researchers and science museum professionals.

The online registration is open, fill in this form and join the education innovators team of the PERFORM project in Paris.

The deadline to submit your Poster proposal has been extended to the 11th of May. Only an abstract presenting briefly the poster (max 2000 characters) is requested for now. Please send it to conference@performresearch.eu and we will be back to you during the first week of May. The final version of the poster will be requested by the end of May 2018.

WHY

PERFORM CONFERENCE 2018 Paris – UNESCO headquarters, 14 – 15 june 2018

The combination of the performing arts with science is an invaluable vehicle to connect young people with the forms, tools and findings of sciences. It also becomes a tool for young researchers to maintain open communication about their work with museums, school teachers and high school students, in a world that requires new communication skills and in which the exposure of scientific work becomes a requirement for social support for research.

This call to present posters seeks to connect attendees around the initiatives that different actors take in their own context: teachers who develop a school project around science and theatre with their students, museum professionals that promote the discovery of scientific careers through human mediation, young researchers who have found in the stand up performing a fun way to talk about their work.

We want to encourage the presentation of these works in other formats beyond the poster: a small intervention, a song, or an installation, are possibilities that can give another face to the poster session, to be developed on the morning of 15 June.

The General Poster session is open to all attendees.

The main themes to be developed are: Stereotypes in science, Inclusiveness, Ethics, Responsible Research and Innovation.
