Hosted by Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d the 2018 EUSEA (European Science Engagement Association) annual conference takes place in the Spanish capital on the 17th and 18th of May. With its ambitious name of “European Science Engagement Conference”, the international meeting aims at gathering together an international community of experts involved in the design, organisation and implementation of public engagement activities.

In the beautiful context of the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid a series of sessions explore the multifaceted world of science engagement giving the PERFORM project a prominent position in the conference programme.

A pre conference session is held to present the more recent outcomes of the project and the development of the toolkits to foster innovation in STEM education through performing arts.

The entire morning of the first day hosts an interactive workshop led by Helena González and Oriol Marimón, from the Big Van Theory team and facilitated by Claudia Aguirre and Leonardo Alfonsi of the EUSEA team. The workshops programme aims to actively engage the participants in experiencing the PERFORM approach to STEM education embedding RRI values.

During the second day of the conference a panorama talk on the PERFOM project highlights the main features of the PERFORM conference that will take place on the 14th and 15th of June in Paris.
